BREAKING NEWS: Indonesian Woman Found Dead in Japan, Who Was Allegedly Killed

BETVNEWS.COM - Joshi Putri Cahyani, an Indonesian Citizenship was found dead in Gunma Prefecture, Maebashi, on Tuesday (August 22) 2023.

The Japanese media who were alerted the case on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 this morning said that Joshi pronounced dead.

"Today I convey the sad news of our friend from our homeland Indonesia who was found dead in Gunma Prefecture, Maebashi, last Tuesday afternoon, and the news was only covered by the media as of this morning (August 23, 2023, Wednesday)," quoted from ICJ (Indonesian Community Japan).

"We convey this information with the permission of Josi's family. Last year, Joshi was rumored to be with her Japanese acquaintance named Keiichiro Kajimura. It was later discovered that Kajimura had a criminal record for murder in 2017," continued the information from the ICJ.

According to the information, it is known that the deceased Joshi left the Nihonggo Gakkounya dormitory two weeks ago.

And her last contact with her family and friends was on Thursday morning, August 17, 2023. 

Joshi's friends and family have tried to contact various parties involved, such as her school Nihonggo Gakkounya, the LPK that flew her to Japan, and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Tokyo.

"We also have asked for help from our ICJ friends; Mr. Ari Tamat, the ICJ admin thank you very much for your advice and input during the search for Josi," Concluded ICJ.

However, fate said otherwise. Efforts to find Josi in good health was wild goose chases.

Gunma Prefectural Police Department confirmed to the school that indeed the female body that they found was Josi Putri Cahyani.

As of now, the body is being autopsied. The family has asked the parties involved to return Josi to her homeland. 

On the other hand, ICJ asks fellow students to be more careful when migrating to a foreign country.
