BENGKULU, BETVNEWS - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Fatmawati Bengkulu Meteorology Station predicts that moderate to heavy rainfall will occur in several areas in Bengkulu Province for the next three days.

BMKG forecaster, Anang Anwar explained that this condition is influenced by wind convergence patterns, which cause wind movements to become unstable and change easily.

In addition, the Madden Julian Oscillation (MJO) phenomenon also contributed to increased rainfall in the region.

"For the weather forecast in Bengkulu Province in the next three days, it is predicted that there will be moderate to heavy rain in several areas," said Anang Anwar, BMKG Forecaster, Friday, January 31, 2025.

Here are some areas that will be showered with moderate to heavy intensity, Friday, January 31, North Bengkulu, Seluma, Kaur. Saturday, February 1, Seluma, Bengkulu City, Kaur. Sunday, February 2, South Bengkulu, Seluma, Bengkulu City, Kaur, Central Bengkulu, Lebong, Rejang Lebong. 

The prediction he conveyed was based on data updated by BMKG Bengkulu on Friday, January 30, 2025 at 10.30 WIB.

Moderate to heavy rain is expected to occur in the afternoon and evening. 

With weather conditions still potentially accompanied by heavy rain, the public is advised to remain alert to the possibility of disasters such as floods, landslides and fallen trees.

BMKG also reminded the public to always monitor the latest weather information to anticipate the impacts caused.
